Santo Domingo Black Jet and Red Spiny Shell Slab Earrings

These Santo Domingo black jet and spiny shell slab earrings are classic. Spiny Shell is found in deep water off the coast of Baja, California in the Sea of Cortez.  These free-form black jet earrings have smooth polished edges and are finished with a pop of genuine red spiny shell at the bottom. The Santo Domingo Indians live in Northern New Mexico and specialize in grinding stone and shell. These earrings are a beautiful example of their recognizable style. Completely hand-crafted by a Santo Domingo artist.
