Bold Navajo Spiny Oyster Cuff by artist Dean Brown
Light and deep shades of red swirl through the spiny oyster shell in this handmade oxidized sterling silver Navajo cuff by artist Dean Brown. Spiny Oyster is found deep in the waters of the Sea of Cortez. Native Americans once walked from the American Southwest to the Baja Peninsula to trade Turquoise for this bright colored shell. A sterling silver rope twist encircles 11 large spiny oyster stones in a traditional flower pattern with 8 additional round stones in a smooth bezel added for detail. This piece turns heads and the stones seem to move in the light.
Hallmarked Dean Brown and stamped "Sterling".
