Navajo Oxidized Sterling Silver Repousse Post Earrings

These Navajo Oxidized Sterling Silver Repousse Post Earrings were handmade in New Mexico by Navajo artist, T. Yazzie.  Repousse is a 19th century technique used in metal work to decorate the surface of a piece. Small tools are used on the backside of the silver to create a design in relief.  This technique requires a great deal of skill. These beautiful earrings were oxidized and gently wire brushed to achieve this Old World look.
