This free form Labradorite specimen has a beautiful golden-green sheen to it with veins of blue running though. Placing this piece in the light really brings out the iridescence beauty of Labradorite. Polished on all sides and stands on its own.

Labradorite is a plagioclase feldspar with a hardness of 6-6.5 and was originally discovered on St. Paul Island, Labrador, Canada in 1770. The Inuit people claim Labradorite fell from the frozen fire of the Aurora Borealis. As light shines on Labradorite from different angles, flashes of brilliant color are seen. The natural iridescence is referred to as “Shiller.” Labradorite is also found in Canada, Norway, Madagascar, and Russia.

Labradorite is called the Stone of Magic, the crystal of shamans, healers, and all who travel and embrace the universe seeking knowledge and guidance. Some believe it has a metaphysical property that stimulates imagination, creativity, and has a calming or harmonizing effect. This magical stone resonates with all chakras and aids in doing "inner work".
