Fluorite Worry Stone
Worry Stones are smooth, polished gemstones in the shape of an oval with a thumb-sized indentation. They originated in ancient Greece. Held between the index finger and thumb, rubbing them is believed to lessen one’s worries. This action is a type of “stim” (a repetitive calming action), which can often create feelings of calmness.
Fluorite has a wide range of colors including yellow, blue, pink, purple and green often occurring in a single stone. The ancient Egyptians used fluorite to carve statues. The Chinese have used it in carvings for over 300 years. Fluorite is found in Canada, the US, South Africa, Thailand, Peru, Mexico, China, Poland & Hungary.
