Labradorite, a type of Feldspar, is called the Stone of Magic, the crystal of shamans, healers, and all who travel and embrace the universe seeking knowledge and guidance. Labradorite, was originally discovered on St. Paul Island, Labrador, Canada in 1770. The Inuit people claim Labradorite fell from the frozen fire of the Aurora Borealis.  As light shines on Labradorite from different angles, flashes of brilliant color are seen. The natural iridescence is referred to as “Shiller.” Labradorite is also found in Canada, Norway, Madagascar, and Russia. This unusual piece of Labradorite has been carved into the shape of an ammonite fossil and polished to a high shine.  Some believe it has a metaphysical property that stimulates imagination, creativity, and has a calming or harmonizing effect.
